What is Fresc?

The Foreign Residents Support Center (Fresc) is a government contact point that supports the residence of foreign nationals who are living and have an active role in Japan.
It is located in the Co・MO・Re Yotsuya building, which is in front of JR Yotsuya Station in Shinjuku, and conducts initiatives that include support for counseling requests from foreign nationals, support for companies that want to hire foreign nationals, and support for local governments engaged in supporting foreign nationals.
The Foreign Residents Support Center (Fresc) improves an environment for accepting foreign nationals by cooperating with organizations concerned and implementing various support measures for the residence of foreign nationals.

What is Houterasu(Jlsc) doing in Fresc?

Houterasu (Jlsc) in Fresc provides information about legal systems and suitable services for foreign nationals in person and through the phone. The service is available without charge or reservation.

We also collaborate with other agencies, such as the immigration office and the labor office in Fresc, in order to effectively support people who face multiple issues.

 

【Purpose of Use of Personal Information】

Personal information obtained in the course of the Information Service at Houterasu in Fresc(Jlsc International Affairs Office)  will be used for the purpose of the Information Service, unless users agree otherwise or the law prescribes otherwise. The service can also be used anonymously.

The information received may be processed so that individuals cannot be identified, and may be published as statistical data or used as examples in training aimed at improving response quality, etc.

We open from 9am to 5pm on weekdays.

You don't have to make an appointment, but, if you do so, we may be able to work more effectively depending on your situation. For more details, please call us on 0570-011000* (push “2” for English, and then “6” for Jlsc).

*Sometimes, we don't have personnel who can talk in English.
